If you somehow missed all the drama over the three-day weekend, Sonny Gray is no longer a Yankee. The trade was a long time coming, and at one point looked like it might fall through after it was announced that the Reds were trying to lock the right-hander into an extension first. In the end though, they were able to reach an agreement and Gray will call Cincinnati his new home.
The Yankees received infield prospect Shed Long, along with a Competitive Balance Round A pick in the 2019 MLB Draft.
