Reporting to spring training didn’t stop CC Sabathia from dropping a new episode of the R2C2 podcast. Although separated by approximately 1100 miles, Sabathia and Ryan Ruocco connected and discussed a variety of topics. The southpaw’s retirement, his spring training schedule, and the free agent market freeze took up most of the conversation.
Of particular interest to fans, Ruocco asked Sabathia if he has kept up his communication with Manny Machado. The left-hander previously revealed that he texted with the infielder over the early days of his free agency. That dialogue, however, appears to have closed down.
