CLEARWATER, Fla. — CC Sabathia has no problem with spending time on the injured list early in the season because there is nothing bothersome with his right knee, which was cut into after last season.
“It’s fine. We are just trying to build up enough time, the knee is fine,” Sabathia said Thursday morning at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa.
Aaron Boone said Wednesday it’s possible Sabathia, who is suspended for five games, could miss the first two weeks of the season, which Sabathia didn’t dispute.
