This marks the 56th postseason appearance in franchise history and 22nd in the past 26 years. That comes after the Yankees wrapped up their 28th consecutive winning season, dating back to 1993. It also marks the eleventh consecutive decade the team has reached the playoffs.

As of this writing, the Yankees stand at 31-22, 3.5 games behind the Tampa Bay Rays for first place in the American League East with seven games remaining on the regular-season docket.
