New York Yankees fans have been clamoring for an alternative to Anthony Volpe for quite some time. The anointed one has time and time again failed to live up to his promise. All the while, Brian Cashman has been staunch in his support of the former top prospect.
There was the epic rant in defense of Volpe from back in 2023. There was the "ebbs and flows" defense of his disappointing sophomore campaign in 2024.
