The New York Yankees have officially been affected by the Corona Virus, aside from the MLB shutting down operations and halting all games and formal practices.
Jon Heyman reports that a minor-leaguer tested positive for the Corona Virus and is currently in isolation for the time being.
Note to minor leaguers from Yankee exec Kevin Reese: “Please be advised that we have a confirmed positive test for a player in (minors) camp. The patient is recovering well. We have been in constant contact w/the Dept. of Health and they have taken charge of (our next steps) …”
Executive Kevin Reese stated:
The Yankees and MLB will take all precautions moving forward, ensuring all players who came in contact with the minor leaguer will be quarantined for the next few weeks.
