Bats heat up in Yankees win over Jays

NEW YORK — As the Yankees returned from a long road trip, it seems for at least a night, they got their offensive mojo back as well. In a complete team win, New York won its 91st games of the season, 11-0, over Toronto.

After almost getting shut-out in the finale in Minnesota, the Bombers immediately put that in the past, putting up five runs in the first inning. Aaron Hicks started the scoring with an RBI-single before Luke Voit doubled to drive in the fourth and fifth runs of the inning.

They continued to tack on with three more in the third and three more before the final pitch.
