Baby Bomber Recap 6/30/16: Ike Davis has a slamming debut for Scranton

Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders: W 8-1 vs. Buffalo Bisons

One can’t say that Ike Davis is failing to make the best of an awkward situation. Recently DFA’d by the Yankees after Mark Teixeira’s return from the DL, the first baseman elected to stay within the organization in case another injury pops up, and he made a big impact in his Scranton debut. Facing another former big leaguer, Roberto Hernandez (The Artist Formerly Known as Fausto Carmona), Davis crushed a grand slam to give the RailRiders a decisive 5-0 lead.

Aaron Judge had an interesting day, as he only had two official at-bats thanks to a walk and two hit by pitches.
