Baby Bomber Recap 4/6/16: Charleston RiverDogs only record one hit in exhibition opener

Low-A Charleston RiverDogs: L 0-2 vs. Myrtle Beach Pelicans (exhibition game)

Minor league baseball is officially back, but the only team to play yesterday was the Charleston RiverDogs. For some reason, their first game of the season was an exhibition game, and the RiverDogs really struggled to get anything going at the plate. Luckily the game didn't count for anything. The Pelicans took a no-hitter all the way into the eighth inning before second baseman Thairo Estrada came in as a pinch hitter and doubled off of Tommy Thorpe. Second baseman Hoy Jun Park and left fielder Kendall Coleman also reached base via walk (or it might have been Kyle Holder and Jeff Hendrix who reached base via walk as the box score and Charleston recap completely contradict each other).
