MLB.com: Jameson Taillon, who hit the injured list this week with a partially torn tendon in his right ankle, is still “pretty sore”, according to Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone. That makes him unlikely to return when first eligible, on September 17, and effectively puts a cloud on his rest-of-season status. As of Saturday, he was in a walking boot and rehabbing at Yankee Stadium.

Sports Illustrated | Max Goodman via Twitter: As of Saturday night, Boone still didn’t know who is going to take the ball for the Yankees on Sunday. Clarke Schmidt and Andrew Heaney are two of the options, per the skipper.
