Around the Empire: Yankees news - 5/7/19

NorthJersey.com | Pete Caldera: After being shut down for a few weeks, Dellin Betances resumed his throwing program yesterday. The right-hander was a little worried leading up to it, in the fear that he’d experience another setback. The good news is that he didn’t experience any issues, and will progress towards playing catch. He laughed off the idea of returning in May, but he should return in June.

New York Post | Mark W. Sanchez: Deivi Garcia is one prospect to keep an eye on in the minor leagues this year. The 19-year-old has earned comparisons to Pedro Martinez from the Double-A manager, Pat Osborn.
