The Yankees’ bats have gone quiet at the worst time, and Alex Rodriguez thinks he knows why.
“I know if I was 22,” Alex Rodriguez said on Fox referring to Gleyber Torres,” and I came and I see the lineup and everyday it’s a different lineup, I would be discouraged. I would be crushed, and disappointed before the game. He looked lost (Thursday) and that’s too bad.”
Most of the Yankees looked lost in Thursday night’s 8-3 loss to the Astros in Game 4 of the ALCS, but perhaps none more than Torres.
The usually impressive second baseman went 0-for-5 batting cleanup for the first time, and committed two errors.
