Alex Rodriguez, officially, is no longer a part of the Yankees organization.
Though he held a special advisor job title and took a salary in 2018, that was ended last offseason, per The Athletic’s Marc Carig. Rodriguez no longer has a title with the organization, nor does he collect a paycheck. Though Rodriguez does maintain a relationship with the team and co-owner Hal Steinbrenner, his role came to an end after talks between he and Steinbrenner, per Carig.
Rodriguez’s affiliation with the Yankees became a topic of discussion as he was broadcasting Sunday’s Yankees-Red Sox game on ESPN.
