TAMPA -- Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner has said he'd be interested in expanding special instructor Alex Rodriguez's role within the organization.
It appears A-Rod is doing it himself, adding dinner host to his title.
Rodriguez has invited a handful of top Yankees prospects to dinner Thursday night.
Yankees staffers informed the prospects of their invitations Thursday morning.
Shortstops Gleyber Torres and Jorge Mateo and third baseman Miguel Andujar will be in attendance, each of them said.
"It's going to be very good," Torres said. "I'm excited for this dinner to to be with Alex.
