Aaron Judge’s wrist pain lingers after playing catch

There was hope that Aaron Judge would be able to take dry swings on Friday for the first time since suffering a chip fracture in his right wrist last month, but once again, pain lingered in the area after playing catch.

“He’s a little sore from throwing,’’ Aaron Boone said after the Yankees beat the Blue Jays, 7-5, in a rain-shortened game that was called in the seventh.

Still, the manager continued to insist that the fact Judge is bothered by the injury over three weeks after it occurred isn’t cause for concern.

“We’re waiting for it to be out of there and once it is, then we’ll go,” Boone said.
