Aaron Judge does not want to ‘put a clock’ on when he’ll return

The Yankees were holding out hope Aaron Judge’s oblique injury wasn’t serious after he was forced from Saturday’s win over the Royals.

They should have known better.

Judge was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday with what Aaron Boone called a “pretty significant strain.’’

“It’s tough,’’ Judge said after the Yankees beat the Royals, 7-6 in 10 innings. “One of my goals was to not get back on [the IL]. It’s especially tough at times like this when we have a lot of guys beat up.”

While neither Boone nor Judge would put a potential timeline on Judge’s absence, Boone said it would be a while before the right fielder did anything.
