Aaron Boone: Umpire showed more ‘class than I did’ during rant

Aaron Boone wasn’t in the dugout for the Yankees’ 8-2 win over the Rockies on Friday night, as he served a one-game suspension handed down for his profanity-laced tirade during Thursday’s win in the first game of their doubleheader sweep of the Rays in The Bronx.

But the manager made sure to reach out to rookie umpire Brennan Miller, who drew Boone’s wrath Thursday.

“I called him [Friday] morning,’’ Boone told The Post. “We had a good conversation. I told him he handled himself well and called a good game. I said someday we might laugh about this.
