Aaron Boone tossed as Yankees-umpires war reaches new level

Aaron Boone went savage again on Saturday.

The manager — and hitting coach Marcus Thames — were tossed after Giancarlo Stanton was called out on strikes to end the bottom of the first against the Blue Jays.

Stanton took issue with a pair of questionable called strikes by home plate umpire Jeremie Rehak and Boone could be seen yelling from the dugout. Boone was tossed by crew chief Joe West from third base, while Thames was thrown out by Rehak.

Boone jogged out to talk with West after being tossed.

It was Boone’s fifth ejection of the season — and ninth in two years as manager — and came a day after the Yankees took issue with a called strike on Brett Gardner in the bottom of the ninth of Friday’s loss.
