Aaron Boone sounds off on Yankees’ All-Star game snub

Aaron Boone has a message for the All-Star game voters:

“Kick rocks.”

That was the message from the Yankees manager ahead of Wednesday night’s game against the Mets.

“I think its a joke [Gleyber Torres] is not on that team,” Boone told reporters. “It’s ridiculous… It doesn’t seem right to me that he’s not on that team.”

The AL-leading Yankees are sending three players to Cleveland for the early July festivities. Gary Sanchez and DJ LeMahieu will start, while Aroldis Chapman will be in the bullpen.

Minnesota’s Jorge Polanco got the starting nod, while Boston’s Xander Bogaerts and Cleveland’s Francisco Lindor are shortstop reserves over Torres.
