Yankees News: Hiroki Kuroda shelled, Yanks fall 13-1 to Angels

In tonight's recap edition of Yankees news, New York Yankees starting pitcher Hiroki Kuroda was shelled by Los Angeles Angles batters, giving up eight runs in just four innings plus in a 13-1 blowout loss to the Angels.

Per Delia Enriquez of the Bronx Baseball Daily, the New York Yankees bullpen didn't fare too much better one Kuroda was knocked out of the game in the fifth inning: Bruce Billings made his season debut, going four innings and giving up four runs while Shawn Kelley gave up a run in the ninth."

The NY Yankees' problems from a pitching perspective were only magnified by their problems on offense.

After scoring 14 runs against the Red Sox on Thursday, the Yankees could only muster one run against Angels' starting pitcher C.J. Wilson. Alfonso Soriano provided the run with a sacrifice fly.

Brett Gardner was the only Yankees hitter to have multiple hits off of Wilson on Friday.
