New York Yankees Rumors: Top prospect Tyler Austin uses IPad, helps swing

Here's a fun one from our treasure trove of New York Yankees rumors and news--one of the Yankees' top prospects is using a little help from Apple technology to increase his chances of getting to the big leagues.

New York Yankees' outfield prospect Tyler Austin is attempting to come back from a wrist injury which caused his production to dip for the Yankees Double-A affiliate, the Trenton Thunder.

How does Tyler Austin intend to get back on track?

According to the New York Daily News,  Tyler Austin carries his IPad around with him at all times, to "essentially, carry his swing everywhere" he goes. The New York Yankees' top prospect uses the IPad to document and study "some good swings from the past...just to know what I need to get back to, if I start to struggle again."

Austin attributes his resolve to a battle with testicular cancer at the young age of 17. He, along with top Yankees outfield prospect Mason Williams, will be on the New York Yankees Spring Training roster when the team begins play just a few weeks from now.
