Veron to miss Home Opener and more

As you were watching the Red Bulls finish the pre-season on a flourish, there were thoughts of a good start to this new season. Just as we were enjoying the play of the talented Gonzalo Veron putting in a hat trick down in Jacksonville against the Armada, thinking about the possibilities of a great strike partner tandem with him and Bradley Wright-Phillips. Now there is a bit of a halt to those plans.

From a team source Gonzalo Veron will miss two to four weeks with a left hamstring injury after going for an MRI and that means he will miss the home opener and the other games in March to start the season.
