HARRISBURG, PA (August 2, 2016) - New York Red Bulls II put an emphatic end to its two-game losing streak with a 5-0 rout on the road against Harrisburg City Islanders, 5-0. Vincent Bezecourt scored twice while Anatole Abang, Dan Metzger and Zoumana Simpara also added goals.
With the win, Red Bulls II improves to 13-3-5 on the season and overtakes Louisville City FC for first place in the Eastern Conference. The clean sheet was NYRB II's eleventh of the season, and goalkeeper Rafael Diaz's third of 2016.
Red Bulls II opened the scoring on a penalty kick in the first half, after Junior Flemmings was dragged down in the box.
