HARRISON, N.J. (May 11, 2020) – New York Red Bulls II will face Charlotte Independence in the first match of Division A play. The matchup is scheduled for Tuesday, May 12 at 8 PM ET, with coverage available on NYRB II Twitch Channel.
NYRB II had a solid opening week in the qualifying bracket, finishing in eighth place out of 32 teams. Omar Sowe opened up the competition for the club, defeating Loudoun United SC, 2-0, and advancing us to the Round of 16. New York Red Bulls midfielder Ben Mines would take over and complete a three-goal comeback in the second half to push the club past Philadelphia Union II.
