USA vs. Brazil
After an ugly start for the U.S. Women’s National Team and down 3-1 with 12 minutes remaining, the host nation defeated Brazil 4-3 on Sunday night in a heart-stopping comeback victory with Julie Ertz scoring the game-winner in the 89th minute.
Brazil took a 1-0 lead in just the second minute of action when Andressinha ripped a shot from distance and U.S. goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher mishandled the ball into the back of the net.
However, the USWNT converted the equalizer in the 18th minute and would eventually take a 1-1 score line into halftime.
