Sky Blue drafted forward Madison Tiernan as their fourth pick in the third round at the 2017 NWSL Draft held at the JW Marriott in Los Angeles, CA.
Tiernan, a Rutgers forward, will help Sky Blue’s offense in the upcoming season. Having played 88 games for the Scarlet Knights, in which she scored 25 goals and recorded 16 assists, Tiernan might be exactly the player Sky Blue needs. For the 2016 season, Tiernan was named South Jersey Soccer Coaches Association (SJSCA) College Player of the Year, as well as coming in second for Rutger’s all-time shots with 275.
