Sky Blue FC announced on Wednesday that they had made two roster moves, waiving midfielder Thaisa Moreno and forward Michaela Abam. According to Sky Blue’s official release, both players were released in order to pursue playing opportunities abroad.
Brazilian international Thaisa was in her first season with Sky Blue after signing with the team last December. She has since made five starts over eight appearances for a total of 396 minutes in her short-lived NWSL career.
