#LA Galaxy's Jermaine Jones has a grade 2 MCL strain an MRI revealed, according to the club

That is an injury one expects to heal in weeks rather than days, which would appear to rule the midfielder out of LA Galaxy's match against the New York Red Bulls on May 14.

If he is slow to recover, Jones' availability for the US Men's National Team's upcoming matches at the beginning of June could also be affected.

Jones sustained the injury during LA's game against Chicago Fire on May 6.
