The rumors about Uruguayan legend Diego Forlan had seemed to be settling down: little advance on stories linking the player to the New York Red Bulls, Independiente, or Colo Colo. Liga MX's Necaxa quashed the suggestion it was chasing the 37-year-old forward. Club America's president, Ricardo Pelaez, went out of his way to say his team was not going to be making a move for Forlan - which was odd, but good to know.
Only the rumor connecting Forlan to Indian Super League's Atletico Kolkata appeared to have any serious traction.
But Diego's Dad, Pablo Forlan - also a former Uruguay international - has stepped up to keep the rumor mill churning.
