The perfect elixir for what has ailed the inconsistent Red Bulls awaited them Wednesday night at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J., in the weakling Chicago Fire.
The question was: Could they take advantage?
The answer, after nearly 60 minutes of angst, was: Yes.
The Reds Bulls, in desperate need of three points at home after their lackluster loss to rival D.C. United on Friday in Washington, delivered a needed 1-0 win over Chicago.
The difference in the game was a marvelously executed goal in the 59th minute by Mike Grella, his team-leading fourth of the season.
