It had barely started before the Red Bulls grabbed all the momentum Saturday — and took a share of first place in the Eastern Conference.

The Red Bulls took advantage of a devastating injury to one of the Columbus Crew’s best players seconds the game at Red Bull Arena and easily stormed to a 2-0 win. With the victory, the Red Bulls are tied with Columbus for first in the East with 4-1-1 (13 points) records.

Shortly after the game’s opening whistle, Crew midfielder Artur fell to the ground in obvious pain after he blocked a blistering cross from Red Bulls wingback Kemar Lawrence.
