After months of scouting in England’s lower leagues, an article in the Daily Mail Monday claims that New York Red Bulls are close to the signing of former England under-18 national team midfielder Dru Yearwood from Brentford.
A reported £1.5 million ($2 million) fee is close to being agreed for Yearwood’s services. The report claims the 20 year old’s deal was agreed earlier in the year but delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Yearwood is described as a central midfield player, music to the ears of RBNY fans concerned about the thin corps in the middle of the park since the departure of Tyler Adams in 2018.
