In support of the Newark Soccer Initiative – a partnership between the New York Red Bulls, Newark Public Schools, the U.S. Soccer Foundation, and Wells Fargo to build 20 mini soccer play spaces over five years – a new mini-pitch was unveiled at Luiz Munoz Marin School.
The initiative will enable more than 2,500 Newark youth to participate in Soccer for Success, the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s after-school soccer program that delivers positive health and youth development outcomes.
This mini-pitch is particularly significant because it represents the first mini-pitch built with a new and innovative prototype developed by Musco Sports Lighting, a national partner of the U.
