The New York Red Bulls are in Houston for Week 5 of MLS 2017: their third road game of the new season, and their fourth game against a Western Conference opponent.
In those two preceding road trips, RBNY has tallied three points out of six: an unexpected turnaround against Atlanta United yielded a 2-1 win; Seattle Sounders rolled confidently over the visiting Red Bulls in a 3-1 victory. The loss to the Sounders is also RBNY's only loss to Western Conference opposition so far this season: Colorado Rapids and Real Salt Lake have been played at Red Bull Arena in games that have yielded one goal (against Colorado) and four points for the Red Bulls.
