Michael Amir Murillo has started three games for the New York Red Bulls, playing the full 90 minutes in each. Unfortunately, he has yet to play in a win: RBNY has one point to show for those three games in which Murillo has featured, and has been outscored 5-1. Still, the 21-year-old full back has looked progressively better with each outing, and would have been a good bet to start again against New England Revolution on Saturday, May 27.
Sadly, that will not happen. The MLS Disciplinary Committee has had another look at Murillo's poorly timed and executed effort to tactically foul Raheem Edwards in the 68th minute of RBNY's 1-1 draw with Toronto FC on May 19.
