HARRISON, N.J. (April 12, 2017) - In support of spinal cord injury research, the New York Red Bulls are honored to host the 4th annual Wings for Life Match on Saturday, April 14 vs. Montreal Impact at 1:00 p.m. ET.
Wings for Life Ambassador and two-time Paralympic swimmer Mallory Weggemann has been at the forefront of raising awareness and funds for spinal cord injury research and will be honored for her efforts in the pre-game festivities.
In 2011, Weggemann won an ESPY Award for “Best Female Athlete with a Disability.” At the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, Weggemann won a Gold Medal while setting a Paralympic record in the 50m freestyle and anchored the Bronze Medal-winning 4x100m medley relay team.
