HARRISON, N.J. (February 4, 2019) – New York Red Bulls II have re-signed Guatemalan defender Allen Yanes to a USL contract, pending league and federation approval, and signed defender Jordan Scarlett to a new USL contract, pending league and federation approval, the club announced today.
Yanes, 21, started in nine of 12 matches he appeared in for NYRB II in his first season with the club. In 873 minutes played, he recorded 37 clearances, 36 interceptions, and two blocks for the NYRB II backline while tallying one assist on the offensive end.
“In limited time last year, Allen proved to be a very reliable and versatile defender, two words we truly value here,” said NYRB II Head Coach John Wolyniec.
