HARRISON, N.J. (February 20, 2019) - New York Red Bulls II have added Venezuelan right back Edgardo Rito on loan from Venezuelan side Fundacion Yaracuyanos FC, the club announced today. Rito has received his P-1 visa and joined NYRB II for preseason camp in Tucson, Arizona.
Rito, 23, has appeared in 23 matches with 1,941 minutes across all competitions in Venezuela. The defender played in 15 Torneo Calusura matches and six Torneo Apertura matches in Venezuela’s first division. Rito most recently played for Metropolitanos FC during the 2018 Torneo Clausura season, starting four matches.
“Rito is a player that impressed us with his pace and athleticism,” said NYRB II Head Coach John Wolyniec.
