MATCH RECAP, pres. by Provident Bank: Caden Clark Scores Game-Winner in Debut

Seventeen-year-old midfielder Caden Clark made his MLS debut at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and it didn’t take him long to attempt a through pass for Tom Barlow.

Minutes later Danny Royer sent a hard low cross looking for Barlow, but the St. Louis, Missouri couldn’t arrive in time to meet the pass.

Midfielder Marc Rzatkowski finished the first 45 minutes with four tackles.

In the 47th minute, Clark scored his first MLS goal in his first MLS start. He became the third youngest goalscorer in club history, right behind Eddie Gaven and Jozy Altidore.

In the 66th minute, Jared Stroud and Florian Valot came onto the field taking the place of Clark and Samuel Tetteh.
