This could be a landmark game for Sacha Kljestan: the New York Red Bulls' midfielder is in line to win his 50th cap for his country, if he sees the field against New Zealand.
Kljestan will doubtless prefer to remember this game as the one in which he sealed a place in Jurgen Klinsmann's lineup for the forthcoming Hexagonal tournament: CONCACAF's final round of World Cup qualifying.
Since returning to play his soccer in MLS in 2015, Kljestan has forced his way to the top tier of players in the USA's top flight, and forced his way back into consideration for meaningful national team duty under Klinsmann.
