The most successful team in Africa Cup of Nations history, Egypt (eight finals, seven titles) meets the third (-ish) most succesful - Cameroon (six finals, four titles) in the 2017 AFCON final.
This is a grudge match of sorts, at least for Cameroon: those two occasions the Indomitable Lions have been to the final and not won the AFCON title were both occasions when they lost to Egypt. The last time these team met at this stage of Africa's showpiece international tournament was 2008, when Egypt was in the middle of a hat-trick of AFCON wins. The time before that, in 1986, the Pharaohs spoiled Cameroon's shot at an AFCON three-peat (the Lions won the 1984 and and 1988 titles).
