A Jonathan David brace gave Canada a farewell win over Suriname in its last game of the 2017 CONCACAF Men's U-17 Championship. David scored a goal in each half as Canada concluded a frustrating tournament - it was eliminated by back-to-back 2-1 losses - with three points.

The 2-0 win for Canada eliminated Suriname, for whom the high point of the competition was its 1-1 draw with Cuba in its opening game. Suriname didn't get another goal or point in the tournament.

The Canada-Suriname result meant there wasn't a great deal to play for in the final game in Group B.
