GIACOMETTI: Gonzalo Veron primed for return vs. Houston Dynamo

HANOVER, N.J. – As the team approaches their third game of the season, the New York Red Bulls look to be on the verge of unveiling their ace-in-the-hole.

After missing out on the team’s first two matches of the season, Gonzalo Veron returned to the training pitch on Tuesday morning and looks to be ready to go for Saturday’s matchup with the Houston Dynamo at Red Bull Arena.

The Argentine was arguably the team’s most impressive player throughout their preseason camp in Florida, impressing with his pace and skill on the ball. Often paired up top with forward Bradley Wright-Phillips in a two-striker formation, the tandem teamed up to wreak havoc on opposing defenses.
