The New York Red Bulls have brought in Panamanian international Fidel Escobar on a one-and-a-half year loan from Sporting San Miguelito FC.
The 22-year-old Escobar started his soccer career with the San Francisco FC academy and made his senior team debut at just 18. He played 16 games for San Francisco, scoring once.
San Francisco FC is the same club New York Red Bulls defender Michael Amir Murillo is on loan from.
Escobar was eventually signed by Sporting San Miguelito before the 2014 season, which saw him play 65 times for the senior team, where he scored six goals, and 14 times for Sporting Club de Portugal B on loan.
