New York Red Bulls eMLS player George Adamou placed second in the 2021 eMLS Cup competition.
Adamou went undefeated in eMLS Cup play heading into the final, dating back to 2020, but was topped by NYCFC's Didychrislito in the final.
Despite not taking the trophy this year, the 2020 eMLS Cup champion earned a direct seat in the North American Global Series Playoffs.
Adamou was a runner up in League 1 this season, as well.
