There might be no bigger fan of the New York Red Bulls’ playing style in the current squad than Daniel Royer.
The Austrian looked almost immediately at home in RBNY’s RalfBall system when he joined the team mid-way through 2016. His appearances were limited by injury, but he picked up a goal and an assist in six league games for the club.
In the early stages of 2017, Royer has arguably been RBNY’s best player. His enthusiasm for the team’s “90 minutes, full power” (as he described it to Once A Metro’s Jason Puckett at Media Day) style of play is obvious whenever he is on the field.
