Caden Clark’s First MLS Season

On October 10th, 2020, Caden Clark made his MLS debut against Atlanta United FC at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and what was evident from the moment he took the plane to Atlanta was that the 17-year-old midfielder was ready for his moment.

The starting XI for that game included: Ryan Meara; Kyle Duncan, Tim Parker, Amro Tarek, Jason Pendant; Sean Davis, Marc Rzatkowski; Danny Royer, Clark; Tom Barlow and Samuel Tetteh.

After a scoreless draw in the first 45 minutes, Clark bagged his first career goal in his first career MLS start. He became the fifth youngest player in MLS history to score on his MLS debut, and also became the third-youngest goal scorer in franchise history at 17 years, 143 days, behind Eddie Gaven (16 years, 253 days) and Jozy Altidore (16 years, 314 days).
