Bradley Wright-Phillips Named MLS Player of the Week

NEW YORK (Tuesday, October 18, 2016) – New York Red Bulls forward Bradley Wright-Phillips was voted Major League Soccer Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) for the 33rd week of the 2016 MLS season.

Wright-Phillips took control of the Golden Boot race with a brace – his seventh multi-goal effort of the season – in leading the Red Bulls to a 3-2 victory over Columbus Crew SC at Red Bull Arena on Sunday. Entering Decision Day, Wright-Phillips tops MLS with 23 goals, while his 67 goals since 2014 are the most in league history over any three consecutive seasons.
