The MLS Disciplinary Committee was clearly determined to have an impact on this weekend's match between New York Red Bulls and New England Revoution.
It has suspended RBNY's Michael Amir Murillo - recently making a strong case for the starting right-back spot for the Red Bulls - for one game for his inelegant toppling of Toronto FC's Raheem Edwards last week. The foul was heavy and awkward, and carded on the day. But DisCo clearly felt there was something reckless and dangerous about the incident and tacked on a suspension.
