Mats Zuccarello was reached to comment on statements made to Norwegian sports writer, Roy Kvatningen. NY Post columnist, Brett Crygalis just tweeted this out.
A #NYR spokesman talked to Zuccarello about @kvatningen‘s story, which people clipped out of context, saying that he’s waiting to be traded. Zuccarello said it’s not what he said and not how he feels, but he’s prepared for anything in the last year of a contract.

In fairness to Roy Kvatningen, he wanted it to be very clear that Zuccarello was not looking to be traded and we stated that in the opening paragraph of our article.
